I am an Assistant Professor in The College of Technology and Business at Riyadh Elm University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I received my Ph.D. from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Computing and Information Systems. I have a Master's Degree in Computer Science/Data Science from Southern Methodist Univesrity. My Bachelor's Degree was in Software Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
My research interests lie in the intersection of Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computational Social Science. More specifically, my research focuses on stance detection and analysis in online social media as a measure of public opinion. I teach computer science and artificial intellegence courses.
With experience in designing and preparing academic courses and programs, I specialize in quality assurance and meeting the rigorous standards of accreditation bodies such as The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and The National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA).
